Personal Library Philosophy

A School Media Coordinator should lead in her profession.  She should aspire to establish a reputation that is indicative of her commitment to her practice. She should strive to provide the highest quality of service to administrators, teachers, students, and the community.  She should continue to educate herself to be knowledgeable about 21st Century skills, trends in technology, and best practices to ensure support and resources are available for rigorous instruction in all curricular areas.  She must maintain a welcoming atmosphere and workspace that can foster reading for enjoyment, meaningful reading, small group instruction, and collaborative group work that connects with classroom instructional practices.
